Terms & Condition

Terms & Condition

general

All wheels requiring any form of structural repair are deemed to have no inherent value, TWS will be adding value by the repair and refurbishment processes.

  • TWS endeavors to repair / refurbish all wheels to the best of our ability, we cannot be responsible for

unforeseen problems such as poor casting, hidden problems generally these problems may only become evident when          the existing wheel finish is stripped back to the base metal, if we believe that the wheel cannot achieve a finish as            expected then we will contact the customer and discuss any options and possibly other work we may have to undertake        to remedy the problem.

  •  TWS “Standard” finish is based on viewing the completed wheel with the naked eye whilst standing upright from a   distance of not less than 4 feet away from the wheel, as viewed normally on a car.

  • Should the customer require a finish “as new” or show finish, then this must be accounted for based on a time charge  within the pricing structure as (COR) cost of repair, Declared at quotation time.

  • When TWS repairs structurally damaged wheels, we may leave the odd machine mark which will be visible on close inspection, this is usually on the inner rear part of the wheel and will not affect the front face, and standard finish applies.

  • TWS reserves the right to refuse to complete any refurbishment work if any of the wheels received require structural repair work before refurbishment. We will never refurbish a wheel that requires any form of structural repair work, i.e. bent, buckled or twisted, the repair work must be carried out first.

  • TWS will do it’s best to straighten the bent/buckle/run out wheel to its best possible repairable limit according to       the  condition of the wheel. TWS do not claim any bent/buckle/run out wheel repaired at its facility will be back to       its original shape as it was at the time of manufactured.

  • TWS will not hold any responsibility for any kind of crack or breakage of wheel while bent/buckle/run out repairs.

  • TWS do not recommend any kind of welding on the wheels, however if customer insist to do welding on the wheel then it will be done purely on the customers risk.

  • Customers should be aware that certain high gloss finishes show blemishes more readily, such as black, chrome or        bright silver, we cannot guarantee to make your wheels perfect but we will ensure that there is a significant                improvement. Should a customer request an as new finish or show wheels, then an additional charge will apply, this will be calculated on an hourly basis plus any materials required.

  • With sprayed paints, particularly metallic paints, a ‘perfect’ finish match is an impossibility due to the fact that there  are so many environmental factors that can affect the color. The only way to guarantee an

Imperceptible finish difference across multiple wheels is to have them all repainted simultaneously. We wil only be responsible for a perceived difference between wheels. However we try our best to match the paint as much as possible.

  •   TWS will do our best to meet the time-scales as given when the wheels were booked in, however, target time-scales are just that, ‘target’, TWS takes no      responsibility for unforeseen delays that effect the process of the wheel repairs and refurbishment, some wheels require processes that take longer to        achieve than a standard process.

  •  TWS recommends that new valves be fitted to each wheel when we are fitting tire, Standard rubber valves are incorporated within the price. Alternative      valves such as metal, chrome sleeved, hidden or small rubber can be installed at an additional charge and depending on stock. We may have to order in       especially which can delay the process.

  •  TWS do not hold any responsibility for any kind of fitment problem or damage occurs while removing or fitting of after markets wheels, upside/ down size    wheels /tire, additional fitments like hub spacers and non- standardized bolts and nuts.

  •  TWS do not hold any responsibility for any kind of damage on the tire while removing or fitting due to any factors such as age of tire, condition of tire etc, etc.

  •  Corrosion removes metal from the surface of the wheel. The longer corrosion is allowed to progress, the deeper the pitting. While applying new coatings may mask a degree of the surface degradation of the wheel, it cannot restore the pitted metal surface. Wheels that have been allowed to corrode will not therefore ever be restored to an as-new finish. The deeper the corrosion, the more this will be visible in the refinished wheel.

  •  We will ensure that all wheels will be refurbished to the best we possibly can but we cannot be held responsible for excessive corrosion, or if the alloy has a  malformed casting. These problems are not apparent at first and will only become visible when the old finish is removed. Other problems include:

  •  The wheels/locking nut/bolts/stud/tyre having been incorrectly maintained or modified.
  •  Any previous service or repairs which have not been properly carried out.

  •  Many cars are fitted with wheels with a Diamond Cut finish. The process for this finish takes longer than the standard finish, which is why it is more expensive. It is possible to refurbish wheels that have been Diamond cut just by painting them, but the finish is not the same.

  • The Diamond Cutting process involves using a specialist cnc lathe to take off the paint, and a small amount of the alloy from the face. They cannot be
continually refurbished as too much alloy would eventually be removed. We advise you if we think too much has been removed for another refurbishment. If   after your refurb a wheel is damaged, for example in transit, or with tyre fitting, and the wheel cannot be Diamond Cut again the wheels may have to be     painted. We cannot be held responsible for accidental damage.

  • Small scuffs on Diamond Cut wheels cannot be repaired easily like they can on painted wheels. To be able to repair it properly the entire wheel needs to be   refurbished.

  • Most of the time wheel that is heavily buckled cannot be Diamond Cut. The wheel must run close to true to be able to machine it. If we cannot Diamond cut a  wheel we will inform you, and suggest all 4 are painted instead.

  • TWS reserve the right not to fit damaged or illegal tyres.

  • Vehicles or wheels will not be released until payments are made in full.

  • Payments must be made before we start work on wheels, delayed payment will push back the time-scale and start point, thereby we will have to fit the wheels  in the que as and where we can, thus delaying the completion time.

  • TWS charge a storage fee of 5 OMR per day from day 8 if the wheels are not collected 7 calendar days after we have completed the work and contacted the  customer to advice of the completion.

  • TWS will endeavor to contact customers with respect of collecting the wheels, should however the wheels not be collected within 2 months after completion   then we reserve the right to sell the wheels in order to recover the costs incurred to us.

  • TWS accepts no responsibility for wheels transported to us and from us or collected by couriers engaged by the customer, the customer should ensure that the courier has sufficient insurance cover. • TWS shall not be liable for any failure to perform any of its obligations to you where the failure is due to circumstances beyond TWS reasonable control, including, without limitation, Act of God, war, civil disturbance, flood, lightning or fire, industrial action or lockouts, the act or omission of Government or any agent thereof, the act or omission of any person for whom TWS is not responsible.
